When I was younger, I chose a sport without much conviction, but it turned out to be (in my opinion) the perfect sport.
For over 7 consecutive years, I practiced athletics in a club.
I enjoyed this sport because of its diversity:
It included running (long or short, with or without obstacles),
throws (hammers, discs, javelins, weights), and jumps (long jump, high jump, pole vault).
After 5 years of membership in the club (Iroise Athletics), I was offered the opportunity to become a Young Judge.
I accepted and loved it! The experience of "switching sides" is rewarding even as an athlete.
Judging athletes teaches us the rules and the mistakes to avoid. This involves, among other things, measuring athletes' performances.
I quickly passed an exam to become a Regional and then Federal Young Judge.
